Safe roads save lives.
- Road Safety Action International is a for-impact organization that has been set up
with the goal of reducing road injuries in Africa.
The Department of Awareness and Education is a unique Department set up
within the
organization to provide nationwide sensitization and broaden people's understanding of
the need for a safe road environment. The program is meant to delve deep into educating
all road users, especially drivers (commercial and private) road designers, national
entities, and primary and secondary school children. The Department has several programs
and projects that are being carried out yearly.
The Road Safety Awareness Campaign is a program aimed at promoting safe and responsible
behavior on the roads to prevent accidents and save lives. The program typically
involves a series of projects designed to increase awareness about road safety issues,
encourage compliance with traffic rules, and foster a culture of responsible driving
among individuals of all ages.
